Today our Green Schools, Active Schools, Amber Flag, and Student Council committees visited a local dairy farm owned by Leo O’Connor and family!
The students gained a fantastic insight into life and work on a modern dairy farm. The tour included visits to the paddock, the calves shed, and the milking parlour, where they learned so much about daily farm life. They also took part in a nutrition talk from the National Dairy Council.
The visit ended with lunch in the hay barn, along with milk and goodie bags kindly provided by Lee Strand Milk
