Student Council

Our Student Council was set up in November 2021.  O'Brennan National School believes that pupils have a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere conducive to happiness and learning. We believe that our Student Council has a vital role to play in achieving this.

The role of the Student Council is to :

-provide an opportunity for children to voice their opinions and offer suggestions on all aspects of school life

-afford our pupils the opportunity to voice their opinions on proposed initiatives and changes in our school

-act as a liaison between the school authority, pupils and home

Classes from 3rd - 6th held elections during the month of September in order to elect two members from each of the aforementioned classes to our Student Council. Children who wished to put their names forward gave their pitch to their respective classes prior to voting.

Congratulations to Rory, Sadhbh, Úna, Fionn, Mikey, Abby, Eva and Rory on their election. We are looking forward to working with the elected members. Well done to everyone who got involved in the elections it has been a very exciting few weeks!
