📘 Station 1 – Novel Study
Tom Crean: Ice Man
Children are reading Ice Man, a novel based on the incredible life of Antarctic explorer Tom Crean, which highlights his bravery, resilience, and determination.
⌨️ Station 2 – Typing & Spellings
Using Typing.com, children are developing their typing skills while also practising their spellings. This station focuses on building confidence and preparing students for the digital demands of secondary school.
✏️ Station 3 – Writing
The focus this week is on vocabulary work, helping children to expand their word choices and use richer language in their writing.
🎧🗣 Station 4 – Listening & Oral Language
Children are listening to the story of Aileen Crean, Tom Crean’s grand-daughter, who retraced and explored her grandfather’s journey in 2016. This station encourages discussion, listening skills, and oral language development.
